If the paint has visible swirls, yes — a coating locks in whatever is underneath. A pass with CleaRub 505 removes light swirls and haze, then wipe down with Nasiol Clean precleaner and coat. On brand-new or freshly corrected paint you can go straight to the precleaner step.
